Albany Times Union: Earnest Hemmings, who founded Hemmings Motor News, considered the “bible” of car collectors, died last month at a nursing home in his hometown Quincy, Ill. Hemmings sold the popular magazine in the late 1960s to Terry Ehrich, who moved it to Bennington, Vt., where it is still published with a staff of about 100. After Ehrich’s death in 2002, the publication and related titles was sold to American City Business Journals.
