Politico: In the wake of false starts, setbacks and staff departures, Pierre Omidyar’s First Look Media has hired media veteran Michael Bloom to serve in the new role of president and general manager, overseeing all of the organization’s existing and future publications. Bloom’s appointment comes just weeks after senior editor Ken Silverstein left the organization due to what he called “epic managerial incompetence.”
