Variety: This weekend, “Cinderella” became the latest classic Disney animated film to be revisited in a fresh live-action spin, joining the likes of “Maleficent” and “Alice in Wonderland” by dominating the global box office with a massive haul of $132 million. Unsurprisingly, Disney shows no signs of closing the vault doors. The studio is already planning live-action versions of “Beauty and the Beast,” “Dumbo” and “The Jungle Book.”
