Wall Street Journal: David Christopher Bird, a longtime Wall Street Journal reporter who was missing for more than a year, was found dead near his New Jersey home, police said. Bird, who had worked for Dow Jones & Co., publisher of the Journal, for more than two decades, was instrumental in the expansion of energy markets reporting in the 1990s, leading its coverage of OPEC and energy markets. Canoers discovered the body of the married father of two in the Passaic River a few miles from his home. The cause of death wasn’t immediately known. An investigation is ongoing, police said.
