USA Today: John Micklethwait, the newly appointed editor in chief of Bloomberg L.P., has restructured the company’s top editorial management team, citing a need to reduce duplicative work and get teams to work more collaboratively. Micklethwait told the staff that he created the a committee that will oversee the work of the company’s two main editorial branches: Bloomberg News, which creates wire news and features for the terminals used by financiers; and Bloomberg Media, which generates magazines, TV and radio programming, consumer news websites and events. “There is still duplication and a few silos to deal with, so we can all produce more great journalism.”
