Digiday: “We’ll launch many more magazines,” said Hearst Magazines president David Carey, “and if we have to shut one, it’s a natural evolution of the business. The industry attaches too much drama to a magazine shutdown. TV shows come and go, books come and go. But we only plan to add to the portfolio. … I think we have a team that’s really open-minded. In addition to our digital native efforts, we’re doing native efforts with print. Our goal for 2016 is, 5% of print advertising is native. That’s going to be the way we’re going to grow our business.”
