New York Post: Time Inc. was in talks to buy sports-video producer CineSport to bolster Sports Illustrated’s digital presence before talks broke down. “I thought Time Inc. was buying it and it was a done deal — and then they were not buying it,” said one industry source, adding that the talks fell apart several weeks ago. Time Inc. CEO Joe Ripp is particularly interested in pushing the sports market aggressively and is scouting for deals, according to one source.
