Wall Street Journal: Angry advertisers have forced NBC News to stop running commercials during early morning rebroadcasts of “Nightly News.” For the past two months, 10 NBC affiliates have been rerunning “Nightly News” between the hours of 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Although the ratings in those hours are small, every eyeball counts in the tight ratings race between NBC’s newscast and ABC’s “World News Tonight.” Some marketers were upset that their spots were airing in an hour usually reserved for tacky infomercials.
