Wall Street Journal: In an effort to make it easier and more efficient for marketers to buy its ads, radio giant iHeartMedia plans to start using automated sales tools similar to those used in the online ad market. The company announced it has partnered with tech vendor Jelli to sell ad inventory across its 850 stations through a “programmatic” marketplace. “We want to rethink our business in a way that is very client-friendly,” said CEO Bob Pittman.
