Crain’s New York Business: Oyster, the subscription e-book startup that has been slowly persuading publishers to embrace the Netflix model for books, has now ventured into the e-book retail business. The two-year-old Manhattan-based company has added a fully stocked e-bookstore to its website. Unlike its subscription service, Oyster’s store includes titles from all of the Big Five publishers, including Penguin Random House and Hachette Book Group.
