Financial Times: Jerry Seinfeld, the comedian, took the stage in Manhattan on Tuesday to kick off a pitch to advertisers from Crackle, Sony’s ad-supported online video service. Seinfeld’s latest show, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” has been a hit for Crackle, which has picked it up for a sixth season this year. The event came at the beginning of television’s “upfront” market, the period when networks — and now digital media companies — host star-studded presentations of their new and hit programming to win marketing budgets.
