CBS’s James Corden Ups Profile with ‘Carpool Karaoke’

Wall Street Journal: This week, James Corden, late-night TV’s newest host, grabbed attention for CBS’s “Late Late Show” with a feature called Carpool Karaoke. As he drove singer Jennifer Hudson through Los Angeles, the two sang along to her hits on the car stereo, shimmied in their seats and stopped for a drive-through burger. Carpool Karaoke, which made its debut with Mariah Carey a couple of days after Corden’s show premiered last month, has the makings of a signature bit.
