Wall Street Journal: Yahoo has amended the terms of its search partnership with Microsoft to give it more control over how search results are presented on both desktop computers and mobile devices. Under the new arrangement, Yahoo is now free to display its own search results and ads for 49% of searches on desktops, as well as on all searches for smartphones and tablets. Microsoft will continue to provide results and ads for the majority of desktop ads for the remainder of the companies’ 10-year pact.
