Comcast’s ‘Furious 7’ Races Past $1 Billion at Box Office

Forbes: “Furious 7” has crossed the $1 billion mark in just 17 days of worldwide box office play, faster than any other movie in history. The Paul Walker/Vin Diesel sequel earned another $29 million over the weekend, down 51% from last weekend, bringing the domestic tally to $294.4 million, as it becomes one of the biggest-grossing films of all time worldwide. The Universal/Comcast property has now grossed $1.153 billion worldwide, making it the seventh biggest global grosser of all time. It has earned $250 million in China alone, making it the second-biggest American movie in that territory outside of “Transformers: Age of Extinction.”
