Hearst New York Property Eyed for New Shopping Center

Albany Times Union: A 50-acre shopping center is being proposed by a Massachusetts developer on wooded land in Albany, N.Y.,  owned by the Hearst behind the Times Union newspaper plant. George R. Hearst III, publisher of the Times Union, has confirmed that the company signed a purchase sale agreement to sell property adjacent to the paper. Hearst noted the land became available after the paper installed its new printing press in the existing building two years ago and no longer had a need for building a separate printing facility on the undeveloped land.
