Bloomberg: Facebook is releasing a video-call feature for its Messenger app. The company said in a blog post that the feature will work for iOS and Android phones, competing with Apple’s Facetime, which is tailored to Apple devices, and Google’s Hangouts. Skype, from Microsoft, and WeChat from Tencent, also provide video-messaging services. “Video calling in Messenger is available for calls made from a mobile phone to another mobile phone, even if one person is on iOS and the other person is on an Android device,” the social-media company said.
