Re/code: Refinery29 has announced a new funding round of $50 million, led by Scripps Network Interactive and ad giant WPP, in time for its NewFronts presentation for ad buyers on this week. People familiar with the company, which has raised $80 million to date, say it is now valued at $290 million. The raise is significant because it may be the biggest funding round to date for a media company aimed specifically at women.
