Crain’s New York Business: The publisher of the American Lawyer and other publications, which changed hands last year after repeatedly downsizing, is about to lay off 61 employees. ALM Media will make the cuts in phases from the end of July through September. ALM CEO Bill Carter said the planned layoffs were part of the company’s evolution from a “publisher of legal titles to a leading provider of information and data solutions … serving multiple industry verticals.”
