But on Wednesday, what readers mostly saw in Facebook Instant Articles, the new format by which news organizations are publishing directly on Facebook, was an eclectic mix of articles rather than a clear signal of what is to come. It is also not clear when the first batch of articles will be succeeded by a more regular stream of offerings from the publishers. Facebook will decide when it will begin running full force.
