New York Post: Former President Bill Clinton rallied advertisers at Univision’s upfront presentation, telling them Madison Avenue should recognize a more diverse America. The sentiment was never more important for the private-equity owners of the debt-laden media company. After hiring investment banks in March to underwrite an initial public offering, Univision’s owners are hoping to launch the IPO in just weeks, sources said. Getting early commitments on ad spending from Madison Avenue would certainly make an IPO road show before potential investors that much easier.
