New York Post: The auction for the New York Daily News is going down to the wire, with only three bidders remaining. The deadline is May 18, although sources said it’s a soft finish line that may be extended if two bidders are close or need a little more time to finalize a bid for the daily. Real-estate mogul Steve Witkoff has been confirmed as one of the three final bidders. His holdings include the Woolworth Building and the New York Helmsley Park Hotel that he paid $660 million for in 2013.
