Wall Street Journal: The series finale of “Mad Men” drew in 4.6 million viewers who watched live and within three days of the episode airing, according to AMC. The additional viewing helped make Don Draper’s farewell the highest-rated episode for the AMC drama, which began airing in 2007. “Mad Men” is heavily time-shifted, meaning that viewers frequently record episodes and watch them later, often fast-forwarding through the commercials. Indeed, time-shifted viewing boosted the show’s audience by 41%.
