Telegraph: Sky has walked away from talks to create a more dominant pay-TV provider in Italy, after failing to agree terms on a joint venture with Mediaset, the broadcaster founded by former president Silvio Berlusconi. The discussions were said to have broken down over a disagreement over the valuation of Mediaset Premium, the broadcaster’s pay-TV rival to Sky’s Italian arm. The two sides had been in discussions over a deal that would have combined Sky Italia and Mediaset Premium.
