Chicago Tribune: The Chicago Tribune is said to be eliminating about two dozen positions, including 10 in the newsroom, in a cost-savings measure. A Chicago Tribune spokesman would not confirm the number of layoffs but said the newspaper is working to improve efficiency and productivity across departments. “The newsroom continues to evolve to support our expanding content portfolio and digital efforts. We continue to add and invest in staff in key areas such as investigative reporting, digital programming, local news, opinion leadership and commentary.”
