Guardian: The Guardian plans to set up a team to focus on developing innovative approaches to deliver mobile news, after receiving a grant of almost $3 million. Guardian US will create a new editorial and production team tasked with exploring new ways for readers to consume news on mobile devices, after being awarded $2.6 million from the Knight Foundation. The new team will form an innovation lab that will operate autonomously from the main U.S. operation, but will also have access to stories and resources from the larger Guardian newsroom.
