Variety: A new round of layoffs has hit NBCUniversal with a slew of staffers cut from both E! and Esquire networks. Approximately 20 to 30 employees were affected, none of them senior execs. The layoffs were said to be a result of continued efforts to integrate the two cable networks. “As previously announced we have integrated E!’s news and online teams and, separately, the E! and Esquire marketing teams,” a statement read. “We have made a small reduction in head count to maximize efficiencies in those areas as a result.”
