Liberty Global in Talks to Buy Irish TV Channel TV3

Financial Times: John Malone’s cable group Liberty Global is said to be in exclusive talks to acquire Irish broadcaster TV3. The channel’s private-equity owner, Doughty Hanson, has been looking to sell the asset for more than a year. Liberty Global last year acquired a stake in ITV, the U.K.’s biggest private broadcaster, as part of a greater emphasis on television content.
