New York Post: A new layer of management has been added to the auction sale of the Daily News, in hopes of unclogging a slow process. Jamie Gertler, a nephew of owner Mort Zuckerman, has stepped into the sales process in recent weeks to help his uncle try to wrap up a deal, according to several sources. Lazard, which is handling the auction, is hoping Zuckerman will either call off the sale or accept one of the bids now on the table. The bids are believed to be far below $100 million.
