New York Business Journal: Sequential Brands’ deal to acquire Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia has been signed, just as the company posted a second-quarter loss related mostly to handing over its publishing and sales duties to Meredith. Under the acquisition agreement, Sequential Brands is picking up 100 percent of all outstanding shares of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia at $6.15 per share, payable 50 percent in stock and 50 percent in cash. The transaction, with a price tag estimated at $353 million, has founder Martha Stewart staying on as chief creative officer, and is expected to close in the last quarter of 2015.
