Niche Media, Modern Luxury Mag Firms Mull Merger

New York Post: Two of the nation’s largest regional magazine publishers may be gearing up to talk merger. Niche Media and Modern Luxury Media have had discussions in the past, albeit informally, but new talks could turn serious in the next month. Niche Media is owned by Jane Greenspun Gale, the power behind Hamptons, Miami-based Ocean Drive and Manhattan-based Gotham. Modern Luxury, owner of Beach and Manhattan, is owned by the Dickey family, the Atlanta-based radio titans who run radio chain Cumulus Media.
