Washington Post: On Wednesday morning, viewers of NBC News’s “Today” show will find Matt Lauer co-hosting the morning program from the prime real estate of the White House’s South Lawn. According to an NBC source, the spot is something of an exclusive, considering that competing outlets will be doing the usual stand-up shots from the White House. The Lauer setup will give the NBC News broadcast the look and feel of the official pope-visit news desk. No other outlet will get this perquisite.
