Disney Elects Consumer Brands Expert to Board

Wall Street Journal: Disney said its board has elected finance and investment industry veteran Maria Elena Lagomasino as an independent director starting in December. Disney CEO Bob Iger said that Lagomasino “also has a wealth of experience with, and keen understanding of, global consumer brands.” Lagomasino is CEO and managing partner of financial advisory firm WE Family Offices. Lagomasino will stand for election by shareholders at Disney’s next annual meeting, which is typically held in March.
