Sony Pictures’ “Hotel Transylvania 2” pulled in $47.5 million in its debut, setting a record for a September opening. With an A- CinemaScore, and a voice cast led by Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez and David Spade, “Hotel Transylvania 2” is the best opening ever for a film from Sony Picture’s Animation, and ranks as the 16th best opening for the studio.
