USA Today: Trevor Noah’s debut as host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” drew a modest 1.1 million viewers to the network Monday, but the initial telecast proved more popular with millennials than Jon Stewart. In a gambit to win sampling for the new host, a one-time-only airing on 11 sibling cable networks, including MTV, BET, CMT and TV Land, coupled with a 1:35 a.m. ET/PT repeat, added up to a combined audience of 3.7 million on all 12 networks, the third-largest total in the show’s history.
