Mashable: Vice’s digital media sites went silent for two hours on Wednesday to protest the detention of Mohammed Ismael Rasool, who is being held in Turkey on charges of assisting terrorists. Rasool has been held by Turkish authorities since late August, when a court charged him and Vice journalists Jake Hanrahan and Philip Pendlebury with helping the Islamic State. The three of them had been reporting on the conflicts near the border between Turkey and Syria.
