Atlantic’s National Journal Names New Top Editor

Politico: National Journal is going back to its roots, bringing on Stephen Smith, who was editor of the magazine from 1996-98, to lead the magazine again as it sheds staff and transitions back into a subscription-only model. Parent company Atlantic Media announced his hiring. “Steve Smith was the editor of National Journal when I bought the magazine 18 years ago,” Atlantic Media chief David Bradley said in a statement.
