New York Post: Colin Myler exited as editor in chief of the Daily News on Wednesday. Beside ditching the News’ decades-long focus on city issues for the fluff of celebrity online news, Myler will perhaps best be remembered for the jaw-dropping decline in circulation at the teetering tabloid. Myler leaves behind a downsized newsroom that has been pushing a lot of digital initiatives that so far have failed to stem losses, estimated to be running at close to $30 million a year.
