New York Times Launches Virtual Reality App

Next Web: A couple of weeks ago, the New York Times announced it would be shipping more than a million free Google Cardboard headsets to prepare for the launch of its virtual reality app. That app has now launched. Simply called NYT VR, the app is the publisher’s first serious foray into immersive storytelling.
