New York Times: Macmillan’s Farrar, Straus & Giroux on Tuesday is publishing “Iterating Grace,” a book first distributed to people connected with the technology industry. The story is a satire about a Silicon Valley programmer who has a spiritual awakening that leads him on a pilgrimage to a volcano in Bolivia.  The original recipients of the book, including venture capitalists and prominent tech journalists, were baffled. Was this a viral marketing scheme?
