AT&T to Change Name of DirecTV Business Operation

MediaPost: Starting next year, AT&T will be transitioning its DirecTV satellite business name to an umbrella moniker AT&T Entertainment Group. An internal company memo said AT&T plans to change all of its TV product names to AT&T Entertainment once it establishes its “next generation” TV platform. “The iconic AT&T brand – one of the world’s most valuable and admired – is our brand,” AT&T said.
