Pandora Licensing Deal Could Help Challenge Spotify

MarketWatch: Pandora Media has inked a deal with Warner/Chappell Music to license the publisher’s full catalog of music as it seeks to bulk up its music-streaming business. The multiyear deal comes a month after the Internet radio company nabbed technology and intellectual property from bankrupt Rdio, as a push to challenge Spotify, Apple, Alphabet’s Google and other on-demand music streaming services.
