New York Times: Less than two weeks ago, the Las Vegas Review-Journal was sold for $140 million to a buyer whose identity was kept secret for days. Reporters said that articles related to the sale were edited in what they felt were attempts to paint the new owner in a more favorable light. When the paper later reported that Sheldon Adelson, the billionaire casino magnate, was behind the purchase, the revelation brought little relief. Top editor Michael Hengel resigned days later.
