Meredith Faces Lawsuits Seeking to Stop Acquisition

Des Moines Register: Three lawsuits are seeking to stop the proposed acquisition of Meredith, the Des Moines-based media and publishing company. While filed separately, they make similar claims and ask a judge for an injunction to stop Meredith’s acquisition. Meredith announced in September that it would be sold to Virginia-based media company Media General for $2.4 billion. The deal would result in a new company, Meredith Media General.
