Google Awards Funding to 128 European News Projects

Journalism.co.uk: Google will award €27 million to 128 journalism projects in Europe as part of the first round of its Digital News Initiative funding. The projects, hailing from 23 European countries, range from prototypes to medium and larger scale tools and platforms developed by publishers to improve their storytelling on digital platforms. Recipients include the U.K. Telegraph and Financial Times. A total of €150 million was allocated to the program.
