Medium Spins Off Online Magazine as Matter Studios

Wall Street Journal: Matter, the National Magazine Award-winning online magazine unit of Medium, will be spun out as a nonfiction storytelling incubator under the name Matter Studios. Evan Williams, the co-founder of Twitter and Blogger and CEO of Medium, will serve as chairman and sole owner of the new enterprise, while husband-and-wife team Mark Lotto and Hillary Frey will be its co-creative officers
