New York Post: Bertelsmann, the German publishing giant, said it wants to boost its stake in Penguin Random House, the world’s largest book publisher, which it currently controls via a joint venture with London’s Pearson. Bertelsmann CEO Thomas Rabe said he would feel comfortable boosting his stake in Penguin Random House to between 70 and 75 percent from its current 53 percent.
