New York Post: Hearst has joined other magazine publishers in being accused of invasion of privacy for wrongfully selling subscription information. That the long-standing revenue-and circulation-building practice is coming under legal fire is sending shock waves through the industry. The latest suit has claimed: “Hearst is not just a magazine publisher. It is also in the quite lucrative business of selling its subscribers’ personal information.”
