Al Jazeera to Slash 500 Jobs Citing Changes in Media

Al Jazeera: Al Jazeera has announced a reduction of its workforce as part of an optimization initiative in connection with the ongoing transformation of the media landscape. It is expected that around 500 positions worldwide will be impacted, the majority of which are in Qatar. “We have carefully evaluated every option available in order to ensure that we are best positioned in light of the large scale changes underway in the global media landscape.”
