Disney Veteran Inks $500 Million Film Deal with Chinese

Los Angeles Times: Dick Cook Studios, the namesake venture of the former Walt Disney Studios chairman, has signed a $500-million production deal with Film Carnival, a Chinese movie company. Film Carnival, based in China’s Zhejiang province, will finance 100 percent of Cook’s projects. Los Angeles-based Dick Cook Studios will handle development, production, distribution and marketing of the movies.
