New York Post: Terry McDonell, former top editor at Sports Illustrated, Us Weekly, Rolling Stone and Esquire, had his memoir snapped up by the Knopf imprint of Penguin Random House, which plans to publish it this August. McDonell is estimated to have snagged a $200,000 advance. The book, entitled “The Accidental Life: An Editor’s Notes on Writing and Writers,” dishes on top media mavens.
